Cases and Transactions
In ClariNet LS, a Case is a collection of different objects relating to a single life insurance policy, including:
- A Policy;
- One or two Insureds;
- Illustrations;
- Verifications of Coverage; and
- Premium Schedules.
A Case can also have different Transactions attached to it. A Transaction defines the process for a change of ownership in a Case from the perspective of the ClariNet LS user. Thus, a Sent Transaction describes a Case which has been sent to another ClariNet LS client or a third party by the user; a Received Transaction represents a Case which has been received by the ClariNet LS user from another ClariNet LS client or a third party. A Closing Transaction can be created by a Client to the Closing module once a Sent Transaction or Received Transaction has reached the appropriate stage.
Case Status/Transaction Events
The Case Status determines what functionality is available to you to work with a Case. It also determines, in some circumstances, the operation of the icons under the Go column in a Cases List. For a list of Case Status and Transaction Event codes, please review “Case Status and Transaction Events”.
